RAPPER LIL FLIP ARRESTED!

(BlackMediaScoop) A Houston rapper is in an ArkLaTex jail after he was arrested Wednesday.

Deputies say Wesley Eric Weston aka Lil’ Flip, was arrested in Mansfield in DeSoto Parish on drug and gun charges. Weston was arrested after deputies pulled him over for speeding and they allegedly found marijuana and a gun in his possession.

The type of gun was a Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle. His arrest is shedding some light on just how common the sale of this specific type of assault rifle has become.

After the recent shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, almost everyone has an opinion on gun control. The Bushmaster AR-15, seen below, has gained the national spotlight for being the same gun used in the shooting at Sandy Hooks Elementary School, the shooting that killed two firefighters in Webster, New York, and in the Aurora, Colorado shooting that left 12 people dead.

Many Americans are butting heads over whether or not to ban assault rifles.

Ever since President Obama’s first mention of reinstating the federal ban on assault weapons, they’ve been flying off the shelves in stores across the country.
