FOOL TAKES GUN TO MOVIES & ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS HIMSELF
(BlackMediaScoop) It just doesn’t get any dumber than this! A Nevada audience watching The Bourne Legacy Tuesday night experienced a chilling moment when a gun went off—but it turned out it was just some guy accidentally shooting himself in the butt.
The 56-year-old “was adjusting himself in his seat” when “his gun fell out of his pocket,” hit the floor, and went off, police say. The man stood up, took the time to apologize to his neighbors, and then left the theater.
Police found him at a nearby hospital, being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Cops responded to the theater after receiving calls about shots fired—seven to eight shots were initially reported, but only one was actually fired.
No one else was injured, and “there was no panic in the theater as only five people heard the shot out of the approximate 30 people in attendance,” police say. The man does have a concealed weapon permit, but the city attorney’s office will consider possible charges.
