(BlackMediaScoop) Mark Jackson was the target of extortion by an ex-stripper who had nude photosof the married Golden State Warriors coach.
The ex-stripper, 28-year-old Alexis Adams (seen below in middle) , was arrested along with co-conspirator Marcus Shaw (below on left) this week for their alleged roles in the extortion plot.
Adams, who had engaged in an affair with Jackson 6 years ago, demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars from Jackson in exchange for keeping the photos from the “vultures of the media.”
The Warriors also stated that:
Although not condoning his previous actions that led to the extortion attempt, the Warriors fully support Coach Jackson during this time and thank law enforcement authorities and the FBI for their prompt assistance in helping Coach Jackson and his family.
Due to the fact that this is an ongoing legal matter, the Warriors will have no further comment at this time.
Adams and Jackson allegedly met while he was an announcer for the New Jersey Nets and she was a dancer at a gentlemen’s club in New York. Adams claimed to have both naked photographs and recorded voicemails from Jackson, who has been married for 22 years to Desiree Coleman (seen above), his co-pastor at the True Love Worship Center in Van Nuys, Calif.
The authorities became involved in late April after Adams contacted his wife about Jackson’s infidelity. Jackson then began cooperating with the FBI to record phone conversations with the extortionists and led them to eventually arrest both Shaw and Adams.
The two have been named in felony criminal complaints in the U.S. District Court in Oakland. Adams posted the $25,000 bail, but Shaw remains in prison due to his status as a convicted felon. He spent several years in prison for a 1996 aggravated robbery.
The Warriors have the seventh overall draft pick in tonight’s NBA Draft.
