(BlackMediaScoop) More than 1 million people in the United States are living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, but 20% of them don’t even know they’re infected. That’s scary!
Federal health officials are urging everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 to get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care. And there’s no better time to start than TODAY, Wednesday, June 27 — National HIV Testing Day.
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) will offer FREE rapid HIV tests at pharmacies and in-store clinics in 24 cities and rural communities. The tests are already available at seven places, including Washington, D.C., Oakland, Calif., and an Indian health service clinic in Montana. The CDC will soon pick 17 more locations.

Will you get tested today? Have you ever been tested?
