D’ANGELO WORKING ON NEW CD? BMS & Q-TIP SAY YESSS!
(blackmediaSCOOP) Where there is smoke there is a fire folks! BMS confirms Q-tip’s tweet from the other day, that he is indeed working with D’Angelo on a new CD.
Days after ?uestlove dropped the knowledge we had to confirm for ourselves and both are on point!
Q-Tip tweeted to fans about coming out of a N.Y. studio with D’Angelo.

In 2005, the singer pleaded no contest to a felony cocaine-possession charge and then a week later suffered a nasty car wreck—his Hummer ran off the road and flipped, and he was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. In 2006, Gary Harris, the record executive who first signed him, carted him off to rehab. In 2008, Virgin Records released a greatest-hits album. He’s popped up as a guest musician here and there, but really, D’Angelo the groundbreaking musician has been all but absent from the scene.
BMS has been told that D’Angelo continues to record & live in Richmond, VA. He’s recording there and in New York City, and he will deliver the tracks to his record company by the fall. Let’s hope they are not lying to us – we will find out soon we’re told.
