MEET THE WORLD’S HAIRIEST GIRL
(BlackMediaSCOOP) Meet 11-year-old Supatra Sasuphan. The schoolgirl from Bangkok has been given the Guinness World Record for being the world’s hairiest girl and she’s very excited to have the honor.
Supatra suffers from Ambras Syndrome which is a congenital disease triggered by a chromosome mutation – that has been documented in fewer than 50 people across the globe. Back in the day when people didn’t know a lot about the disease, they branded them as werewolves. The 11 year old has hair over her face, ears, arms, legs and back. They say LASER treatment has failed to stop the hair from coming back. Her mom cuts her hair with scissors so it won’t grow back so quickly. She also uses baby shampoo to wash her hair as she is allergic to stronger brands.
While she used to let the taunts of her peers get to her, she is now one of the most popular girls in school since being awarded the title. But she does hope that she will one day be cured.
